Study of youth and small businesses’ perceptions of intellectual property
The European Observatory on Infringements of IP Rights has launched two EU-wide studies on how SMEs and young Europeans perceive intellectual property (IP). The 2019 IP SME Scoreboard explores how SMEs use and understand IP rights, while the IP Youth Scoreboard examines what influences young people’s decisions when accessing digital content or buying goods, legally or illegally. These updated studies, first published in 2016, aim to guide policy improvements and were presented at a public sector meeting and SME conference in Helsinki in October 2019.
